Scott: We Are In This Fight Together
Grant Scott has stressed the importance of not letting last week's defeat "define us" as his side prepares for the visit of Queen's Park.
The Hibees return to action on Sunday (15 September) following last Friday's unexpected 4-0 derby defeat.
While the shock result still lingers ever so slightly on the mind, Scott and his side have moved on to prepare for the next fixture.
"We are all still very sore. We recognise that the performance level wasn’t what we expect from each other, across the board.
"It is a bit of a shock. We didn’t see that performance coming, so we have to pick each other up. We are in this fight together.
"The season is never going to be plain sailing," Scott continued. "You are going to have ups and downs. It’s really key that those moments don’t define us.
"When you get those little blips, it’s all about your reaction. Can you reset yourself and deal with the disappointment? We’ve got a good opportunity to do that this week.
"The players have trained well and we are getting ready for that reaction moment when the game comes on Sunday."
While Hearts are the most familiar of opponents, Queen's Park offer a new, unknown competition in the SWPL.
"If we look at their squad in their general, there’s actually quite a lot of SWPL1 experience in there," Scott said of Sunday's opponents.
"We’ve warned the players about not underestimating the challenge ahead. There’s a lot of good players in there with experience. They will be well organised. We’ve got a job to do."

One moment worth celebrating inside what has been an undeniably tough week was the recognition of Abbie Ferguson's performances.
The tricky winger picked up the SWPL Player of the Month award following her excellent start to the new campaign - in which she had four goal contributions in five August appearances.
"Abbie is one of those players that is exciting to watch — we’ve got a few of them in the team. And she is still developing, which makes it even more exciting.
"She’s started well this season and we are delighted with her work-rate, performances and contributions to goals.
"She is a key part of what we do. We are more than happy for her getting this recognition."
