Jennings woman killed in Tuesday hit-&-run, police identify suspect's truck
JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) -- A Jennings woman was killed in a suspected hit-and-run early Tuesday morning, and police have identified a suspect vehicle, authorities said.
Chasity Rochelle, 28, of Jennings was killed early in the morning Tuesday, and her body was found about seven hours later.
According to Jennings Police Chief Danny Semmes, the incident happened around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday. Police were made aware at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday of the victim's body being found in a deep ditch on the south side of the Oil and Gas Park in Jennings by DOTD workers.
"Officers arrived and discovered that a bicycle was close by and it was damaged and appeared to be a hit and run fatality," Semmes said. "We have evidence that was located at the scene that would indicate vehicle we are looking for is possibly a 2013 (or) 2014 Ford F-150 with damage to the passenger-side headlight and passenger-side mirror."
Anyone with information on this crash, or this truck, is asked to call Jennings Police at (337) 821-5513.
