Warm, dry weekend, no drought relief in slight
High pressure over the Northeast will continue draw warm air northward in a southerly flow.
Temperatures will rise to the upper 80s, some 10 degrees above normal, through the weekend. The early mornings will be mild, with temperatures in the low to mid-60s.
Skies will be mainly sunny, as high-level moisture that streamed northward from the remnants of Francine fades off to the south. Afternoon temperatures will cool down a few degrees early next week into the mid-80s, but remain well above normal for mid-September.
A point of interest will be a tropical disturbance near the Carolina coast this weekend that will turn inland early in the week, spreading clouds in from the east, along with a chance for showers to reach as far west as eastern Ohio.
