Moderate to heavy rain affected parts of south Bengal, including Kolkata, due to a deep depression. The weather system was located near Kolkata and is expected to move westwards, weakening into a depression. Kolkata recorded over 62 mm rainfall, causing waterlogging and slow traffic on major roads. Heavy rain is expected in the next 12 hours.
