Audit and Finance Committee approves Albany airport Capital Plan

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A $283 million Capital Plan for Albany International Airport is moving forward. The Albany County Legislature Audit and Finance Committee approved the plan during a meeting on Monday night.

It calls for about $90 million in upgrades to the runway and about $40 million in terminal improvements.

Some lawmakers voted against it citing concerns about the long-term leadership plan for the airport. The Airport Authority Board removed Phil Caledrone as CEO after deciding to not renew his contract. The change comes in the middle of a $100 million renovation project.
