WARRENSBURG, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 15th annual Garlic Festival will return to the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers' Market on Friday, October 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be garlic food, farmers, activities for children, and more!
At the festival, varieties of certified organic and naturally grown garlic will be available for purchase for planting and consumption by Hope Valley Farm, Nana's Garlic Shack, and Simply Garlic. There will also be horticultural information and recipes provided by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County.
Free sampler plates of garlicky recipes will be available to try. Personal pizzas with fresh garlic, garlic hummus, savory garlicky baked goods, sourdough garlic bread, and garlic salsa are just some of the delicious foods attendees can look forward to.
Along with the recipes and all things garlic, there will be a free children's seasonal craft workshop. The children will be able to make garlic and Halloween-themed crafts.
Live music by George Parrott will be playing during the festival and free freshly brewed coffee will be on tap. Attendees will also get the chance to win $20 in farmers market bucks to spend with the vendors.
