Mechanicville blanks Waterford-Halfmoon in battle of defending champs

MECHANICVILLE, NY (NEWS10) -- Both the Mechanicville and Waterford-Halfmoon boys soccer teams won section titles last season. The Raiders were champions in Class B, while the Fordians won it in Class C. The two teams met Monday night in a Wasaren League clash.

Mechanicville jumped out to a 2-0 lead by halftime. They kept their foot on the gas in the second half, scoring three more times to win it 5-0.

The Raiders improved to 5-0 on the season.
