Did you win? Lottery ticket worth $340,000 sold in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — An Ohio Lottery ticket worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was sold at a Columbus Giant Eagle, and the winner might not be aware of their newfound riches.
The lottery announced on social media that a winning Rolling Cash 5 ticket worth $340,000 was purchased at the Giant Eagle at 2900 Stelzer Road. The post notified players that a big cash prize is still waiting to be claimed.
"Check your tickets! Giant Eagle #6517 in Columbus sold a #RollingCash5 ticket worth $340,000!" the post's caption read.
According to the graphic included in the post, the winning numbers are 20, 25, 26, 29 and 31. The lottery also indicated that the numbers were picked manually. The ticket was sold on Sept. 16, 2024.
The Ohio Lottery lists these instructions to claim a prize:
• You need the original winning ticket to claim your prize.
• Up to $599 – Present your ticket to any Ohio Lottery Retailer for validation and immediate prize payment.
• $600 to $5,000 – Present your ticket to any Ohio Lottery Retailer for validation and receive a Pay-to-Bearer receipt and a Claim Form for check processing OR present the Pay-to-Bearer receipt and completed claim form to an authorized bank cashing location and receive payment the same day.
• Over $5,000 – Present your ticket to an Ohio Lottery office for validation and check processing.
• You must validate and cash your winning ticket within 180 days of the drawing date.
The lottery website noted the next jackpot for the Rolling Cash 5 is $100,000.
