Stewart meets with Nicosia mayors

Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Cyprus, Colin Stewart met on Tuesday with Nicosia’s mayors from both sides of the divide.

This was the first meeting between Nicosia mayor Charalambos Prountzos and his Turkish Cypriot counterpart Mehmet Harmanci, where they discussed opportunities to foster dialogue and collaborations.

In a post on X, UN in Cyprus said “this is their first meeting to discuss opportunities and to update mechanisms used by the municipalities to foster partnership, dialogue and future collaborations.”
