Tennessee, which moved up a spot to No. 15 in the new AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Poll when it came out Monday, then got upset by Wofford, which beat a ranked team for the first time in program history.

A handful of ranked teams are in action Tuesday, including No. 7 Wisconsin, which plays state rival Marquette, and the annual Sunshine State battle between No. 16 Florida and No. 18 Florida State.

Two undefeated teams play when 9-0 UT Arlington goes to TCU and 7-0 Washington goes to Oregon State.

1-5 stay the same in AVCA Poll

There was only mild shuffling in this week’s AVCA Poll as the top five teams — Pittsburgh (6-0), Stanford (7-0), Penn State (8-0), Louisville (7-1) and Nebraska (8-1) — stayed the same. Pitt got 33 first-place votes, Stanford 24, Penn State three and Nebraska one.

Purdue (8-0), one of the five unbeaten teams in the top 25, moved up a spot to No, 6. Wisconsin (3-3) moved up a spot to No. 7 and Texas (3-3) dropped two notches to No. 8.

Creighton (7-2) stayed at No. 9 and Kansas (7-0), the other unbeaten, moved up a spot to No. 10.

Miami, No. 20 last week, dropped out, and SMU is in at No. 22.
