Bowen Yang Says Sydney Sweeney was 'Practically Begging' for Specific Jokes When She Hosted 'SNL'
Bowen Yang looked back on Sydney Sweeney‘s hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.
The 27-year-old Anyone But You actress hosted the show for the very first time earlier this year.
Looking back on her tenure on the late-night show during a recent podcast appearance, Bowen revealed that Sydney was “practically begging” to make some jokes that were later viewed as controversial.

During the show, Sydney participated in some skits that mentioned her body. While on the Fly on the Wall podcast, Bowen noted that it was a sign the actress was aware of “how she was being consumed and perceived already.”
“She came in and was like, ‘Please, everyone, make jokes about my boobs,’” he recalled, via Deadline. “She was practically begging everybody.”
