Pawlet murder suspect will be extradited to VT
QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The suspect accused of killing three of his family members in Vermont will be extradited from Warren County where police say he was evading arrest for murder.
Brian Crossman Jr. waived his right to extradition, meaning he did not contest being sent back to Vermont. Throughout the proceeding Crossman Jr.'s face was blank, his head hung down at times, and when the judge asked him questions he mostly nodded instead of speaking.
Crossman Jr. who lives in Granville was arrested in Glens Falls, Warren County on September 20th. Police say he was evading a Vermont arrest warrant on three charges of aggravated murder. Crossman allegedly killed his father Brian Crossman Sr., a Pawlet Select Board member, his stepmother Erica (Pawlusiak) Crossman, and his 13-year-old stepbrother Colin Taft on September 15.
Earlier Thursday morning, a Washington County judge revoked Crossman's right to own or purchase a firearm in New York State for the next year.
