Kaitlyn Bristowe breaks silence on awkward red carpet run in with ex Jason Tartick at Country Awards
KAITLYN Bristowe has broken her silence on an awkward red carpet run-in with ex Jason Tartick.
The former couple found themselves both attending the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday.
In a video shared by E! on their Instagram, Jason, 35, was spotted on the red carpet while Kaitlyn, 39, stood just a few feet away.
Talking about their encounter, the Bachelor Nation star told the outlet: “This isn’t the first time we’ve been in the same room, so it’s really not weird.
“Maybe six months ago, my heart would have been in my butt—but we’re chilling.”
She continued: “At this point in my life, I just want everybody to happy.
“I’m in a good place and I just am like, yeah. I waved. Like, it’s all good. I feel like other people care more than I do.”
Kaitlyn looked incredible on the red carpet in a dazzling sheer crop top and skirt that showcased her stunning figure.
Jason also dressed up for the occasion and looked handsome in an all-black outfit paired with a burgundy blazer.
The pair met in January 2019 during an episode of Kaitlyn’s podcast, Off The Vine.
Shortly afterwards the two started dating and moved in together that June.
In May 2021, they announced their engagement after more than two years of dating and even started planning their honeymoon.
Kaitlyn previously told Life & Style: “We want to go to the Maldives and have a complete relaxing, like, over-the-water bungalow.
“Then, we want to go to Italy and — he’s never been to Italy, which is my happy place. So, we wanna go to Italy and go around all the different places there and eat all the food and drink all the wine.”
However, the relationship wasn’t meant to be and they called it quits last year.
Announcing the split, they wrote in a joint Instagram post: “After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement.
“We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.”
Jason has moved on with YouTube star Kat Stickler, confirming their relationship in April.
Meanwhile, Kaitlyn has sparked dating rumours with Zac Clark who was previously engaged to Tayshia Adams.
