The Enforcement Directorate has accused former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family of acquiring land parcels in exchange for railway jobs. The properties, classified as proceeds of crime, were transferred through intermediaries to obscure the illegal transactions. The court has summoned Lalu Prasad Yadav and his sons to appear on October 7.
