Multiple Topeka streets to undergo road work, here's where
TOPEKA (KSNT) - City work crews will be completing mill and overlay work at multiple locations around Topeka next week which may cause some traffic disruptions.
Robert Bidwell with the City of Topeka said several streets will be undergoing road work on Sept. 30 and Oct. 3. The streets will be open to traffic during this process while residents and businesses should still be able to reach their driveways at all times except for a 10-15 minute block of time.
- Monday, Sept. 30 - completed by Oct. 18.
- Southwest 28th Street: Prairie Road to Indian Trail.
- Southwest 30th Terrace: Atwood Avenue to 31st Street.
- Southwest 31st Street: Atwood Avenue to Arnold Avenue.
- Southwest Atwood Avenue: 31st Street to Twilight Drive.
- Southwest Stone Avenue: 31st Street to Twilight Drive.
- Thursday, Oct. 3 - completed by Oct. 22.
- Southwest 28th Street/Westport Plaza Drive: Wanamaker Road to 29th Street.
- Southwest 35th Street: Wanamaker Road to Westport Drive.
- Southwest Villa West Drive: 25th Street to 29th Street.
- Southwest Westport Drive: 35th Street to Glendale Drive.
Bidwell said while the streets will remain open, he recommends drivers be cautions when traveling through the work zones. Flaggers will be present to help direct traffic.
