Man accused of stealing from cars in Mechanicville
MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Mechanicville man was arrested on Thursday night following a theft investigation, according to police. Zachary Gaulke, 27, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny.
Gaulke is accused of stealing items from numerous vehicles in Mechanicville. On September 26, officers on patrol reportedly located Gaulke during an active theft and took him into custody without incident.
"We're grateful for the assistance from residents, but remind everyone to continue securing their property by locking vehicle doors and keeping valuables out of sight if left inside," stated Mechanicville Police Chief William Rabbitt.
Police expect additional charges to be filed against Gaulke in the coming days.
