Two arrested on drug charges in Queensbury traffic stop
QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two people were arrested during a traffic stop on Tuesday after deputies seized drugs and cash from a vehicle. Joshua Graves, 39, of Hudson Falls and Billie Jo Parker, 49, of Queensbury, face multiple charges.
According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, during a traffic stop, deputies allegedly observed drug paraphernalia and a substance consistent with crack cocaine in view. Both Graves and Parker were removed from the vehicle, and both were found to have cocaine.
Deputies said Graves had almost an ounce of cocaine on him while Parker was found to have almost 100 grams of cocaine. Deputies also seized over $2,600 from the car.
Charges for Graves:
- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the second degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree
Charges for Parker:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, with the intent to sell
A third person in the car had an active bench warrant out of the Town of Moreau. Deputies turned over that person to state police in response to the warrant.
Following the arrests, a search warrant was executed on Parker's house. Upon the search, deputies retrieved an additional 100 grams of cocaine as well as multiple items of drug paraphernalia consistent with drugs sales activity, from the home.
Both Graves and Parker were arraigned at the Warren County CAP Court where Graves was remanded with bail set, and Parker was released. Graves later posted bail, and Parker faces future charges while her case, from the search warrant, is still under investigation.
