Bacon Brothers to headline Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga charity benefit in Saratoga
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Bacon Brothers, a band formed by Kevin Bacon with his brother Michael Bacon, will be headlining the Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga's (THS) second annual charity benefit concert on October 5. It will take place rain or shine from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the THS farm which is at 683 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
The opening acts of the show are Rich Ortiz and The Wallies Band with Gianna Robustiano. There will also be local vendors selling food and drink, including Fierro's Pizza Food Truck, Old Tavern Farm Winery, Druthers Brewing Company, DeCrescente Distributing Company, and Broadway Coffee Co.
The concert benefit's proceeds will support the THS mission to care for retired racehorses. These horses provide therapies to people within the community, like veterans, children, and families.
The event is currently sold out. THS says tickets will not be available at the door.
“Our farm is a sanctuary for both the horses who live here and the people who find healing within our gates,” said Dr. Erin Christopher Sisk, Co-Founder of Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga. “This event is crucial in supporting our efforts to sustain the care of these incredible horses and continue offering these much-needed mental health programs.”
