New Video of Shawn Johnson’s Baby Son Bear Doing a Full Belly Laugh Is the Exact Joy We Need for the Weekend

As the work week comes to a close (almost there!), we’re trying to make sure we head into the weekend full of positivity. We want to leave the stress and the unanswered emails (whoops!) behind and launch ourselves into a few much-needed days of sweet R&R. But sometimes ya just need a little push to get that joyful spirit going … ya know?

Thankfully, retired NFL player Andrew East had that exact push on hand when he shared a new video on Instagram of his wife Shawn Johnson with their 9-month-old son Bear.

“Our baby was literally Rolling on the Floor Laughing,” East wrote over the video with several laughing emojis, and he’s not exaggerating.

In the beyond-hilarious and heartwarming video, Bear is crawling and “chasing” his mom. The Olympic gold medalist is on all fours and gets so “scared” and scurries away with a yelp every time Bear approaches. This sends him into a fit of giggles each time — even to the point where he tips over or falls flat and rolls around.

All the adults in the room can’t help but laugh too. “It’s still funny?” Johnson asked, amazed, once they got to the other side of the floor.

And yup, Bear was still laughing away.

“watching this on repeat,” East captioned the video that we’ve watched no less than five thousand times (conservative estimate).

“Nothing better than a baby belly laugh! ????,” one follower commented. “The best,” East agreed.

“He says ‘mom you so silly you know you want me.. quit playing!’ ????????????” another added.

“I just love how you are down on the floor at his level having so much fun ❤️????,” one person said, prompting East to say, “The best memories are made on their level.”

Earlier this week, Johnson shared a video of Bear taking his first steps, and said she was both “excited” and “terrified” by the 9-month-old’s mobility. Because yes, at 9 months old, he’s not only “ROTFL-ing,” he’s also walking! Much to some rude followers’ bizarre dismay:

“Why are you rushing your last baby to walk?? I would want him to stay little for as long as he wants since he’s the last one,” one person said.

Which is a problematic thing to say for several reasons, but looking back, it was Monday. Maybe they just had A Case Of The Mondays. Hopefully they’ve now seen the newest video of Bear and have absorbed that joyful Friday Feeling.
