Air Marshal SP Dharkar, an experienced pilot with 3,600 flying hours and a varied command record, assumed charge as Vice Chief of the Air Staff. He previously commanded the Eastern Air Command and served as Director General of the Defence Space Agency, setting up the organization for military space operations.
