The BJP plans to finalise seat distribution in Jharkhand within a week. Alliance talks are ongoing with the Janata Dal (U) and the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU). AJSU chief Sudesh Mahto seeks 13 seats, but the BJP aims to negotiate it to eight or nine. The JDU may get Jamshedpur East and Tamar seats.
