Watch the moment Mafs bride Richelle storms out after accusing husband Orson of being on the show for fame
MAFS bride Richelle stormed out after accusing her husband Orson of being on the show for fame.
Richelle and Orson certainly haven’t had the easiest of times on the show so far, with Richelle walking out on her groom during their honeymoon.

I’m so, so sorry.”
But now it seems the couple are struggling yet again to make their relationship work.
It’s friends and family week, which means the married couples meet those closest to the person they’re married to.
And it appears Richelle introduces Orson to one of her pals, and as they’re all seen having a drink at a bar the Mafs narrator says: “One friend’s cross examination triggers Richelle’s trust issues.”
Richelle’s friend is then heard questioning Orson, at one point asking him: “Is this all a façade? Are you trying to be famous?”
Orson looks frustrated as the camera pans to him and then, in the next clip, he and Richelle have a tense conversation as she can be heard saying to him: “You just chat so much s***. I’m too old for this nonsense.”
Richelle then gets up, slams the flat door and leaves, with Orson looking blindsided on the sofa.
Towards the start of the episode, Mafs fans actually accused Richelle of being on the show for fame after she returned despite walking out on Orson on their honeymoon.
Harsh viewers didn’t have much sympathy and one said: “So Richelle back is she? She’s probably only doing it for TV exposure.”
Another said: “I don’t trust this Rochelle at ALL! She called him fake but nope, I think it’s her that’s fake!”
And one more chimed: “Richelle seems like a different person.”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
Before quitting their honeymoon, Richelle confessed she struggled to process her emotions and found it difficult to believe that Orson was genuine when he told her he had feelings for her.
She was seen breaking down in tears during the intense scenes in Mauritius.
Explaining what happened, the businesswoman told Orson: “I have a tendency to run when I feel stressed.
“I felt like I needed to pull away, it was getting too much.
“I went home and I spoke to a couple of friends, I was able to process my thoughts and put everything in perspective.
“I can’t deny like, I do like you. I’m really sorry. I feel really bad.”
Explaining what happened in a chat with the cameras, Richelle said: “I had a blip, I had a wobbly, as they say, ‘pressure bursts pipes’ and my pipes burst.”
The pair later faced their blip in the commitment ceremony, and she told the experts: “He’s a lot more comfortable talking about his feelings. I’m a lot more reserved.”
She added: “I guess I always want to dig deeper, like, why? I guess, just how genuine he is.
“It’s so early on, and I’ve been single for so long. And doing it all in the spotlight, with the cameras.”
