Lydia Dingle takes drastic action to save Amelia Spencer from Tom King’s abuse in Emmerdale

EMMERDALE’S Lydia Dingle is set to take drastic action next week as she will attempt to save Amelia from being manipulated by villain Tom King.

Tom (James Chase) has begun dating teenage mum Amelia (Daisy Campbell) despite still being obsessed with and continuing to abuse his ex-wife Bell Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

During next week’s episode of the soap, Lydia (Karen Blick) will take it upon herself to try and make Amelia see the truth about Tom’s evil ways. 

She first tries to support Kim Tate (Claire King) amid her marriage breakdown with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), but she will soon have some realisations about her own family drama. 

Seeing Will downing pints outside the Woolpack, Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia reflect on their own family issues. 

Sam and Lydia become worried about Amelia, who is the mother of Sam’s granddaughter Esther after they have an argument about her relationship with Tom. 

The pair feel at a loss to see Tom’s manipulation working on Amelia.

The next day, Amelia is left feeling guilty for having upset them and she gives Sam a photo of Esther to pass on to Samson (Sam Hall) in prison.

Lydia and Sam are left hopeful that things seem to be on the mend. 

As Lydia walks Amelia and Esther out of the Dingles, Amelia tries to convince Lydia she’s wrong about Tom. 

But can Lydia convince her otherwise? And how far will she go to do so?

Tom publicly announced his relationship with Amelia several weeks ago in a bid to hurt his ex-wife, Belle. 

Now that the truth has come about this abuse, Lydia and Sam are shocked to see Amelia standing by him. 

Amelia has stayed by Tom’s side at the hospital after Belle was forced to defend herself by stabbing him in the back with an axe during shocking scenes last week. 

Tom even roped Amelia into one of his horrific plots as he used her to set a trap for Belle. 

And in scary scenes last week, Tom and Belle fought each other as he became hell-bent on causing her even more pain, resulting in Belle defending herself with the attack. 

Recently Tom has started to exhibit similar manipulative behaviour over Amelia.

Will Lydia finally convince her to stay away from him?
