Legendary sandwich McRib returns to Ireland after nearly 4 decades

DUBLIN, Ireland - McDonald's is bringing back the McRib, a 1980s cult favorite, to Ireland later this month.

The McRib comprises a boneless pork patty shaped like ribs coated with BBQ sauce, onions, pickles, and a toasted bun.

It was first introduced in 1981 and was discontinued four years later. However, it has resurfaced multiple times since then.
