Ahead of the vote counting, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah expressed openness to collaborating with Mehbooba Mufti's PDP to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized the move to empower the Lieutenant Governor to nominate members for five reserved seats in the Assembly and threatened to approach the Supreme Court if the BJP-led Centre proceeds with it.
