CBDT forms internal committee to comprehensively review Income-tax Act, invites suggestions on the tax e-filing portal

The CBDT has formed an internal committee to oversee a thorough examination of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (Act), in response to the declaration made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget 2024–25 on July 23.
