Assam's security forces have increased patrols along the Indo-Bangladesh border, apprehending and pushing back 54 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants since January. The state government is recording biometric data and identification documents of suspected immigrants to enhance surveillance and ensure effective repatriation measures.
