'The perfect friend': KS teen remembered after fatal weekend crash

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas Miss Teen Rodeo, Emma Brungardt of Blue Rapids, Kan., died last weekend, following a one vehicle crash.

Emma Brungardt was student Colby Community College and just 19-years-old when she passed away.

Her friends and family describe Brungardt as an inspiration and role model to many among other characteristics.

KSNT 27 News spoke to one of her childhood friends, Taylor Crook, who remembers her as the "perfect person".  

"Kind. She was strong willed. Determined. Goofy. Stubborn. She was everything like that you could ask for," Crook said. "Emma was perfect. Emma was the perfect person. The perfect friend. Everybody has their flaws but to me. She was perfect. " 

Friends, family and others gathered for a candlelight vigil last night in her honor.
