England secured their second consecutive win in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, as they defeated South Africa by 7 wickets. This led to England being sent to the top of Group B.
After an impressive win over Bangladesh, England kept their strong performance going and dominated the match.
South Africa suffered a massive setback with their defeat, which has pushed them into a tricky situation in regards to qualification for the semi finals.
They will now have to win against Scotland in their upcoming match.
England showed their dominance even after a cautious start. The partnership by Alice Capsey and Danni Wyatt proved to be the driving force for England in their chase.
England sealed the match with 4 balls to spare, which avenged their defeat to South Africa in the semi finals of the previous year’s World Cup.
