Capital Region fans head to Citi Field for pivotal Mets game
RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- As the New York Mets prepare for Game 3 of the National League Division Series, dedicated fans from the Capital Region are hitting the road to cheer them on at Citi Field.
A bus full of Mets fans will go watch their team play against the Philidelphia Phillies, just a few days after Yankee Trails sent Yankees fans to Home Game 1 against the Kansas City Royals.
"It seems like this area has been Yankee country," said Yankee Trails President Stephen Tobin, "however, lately, the Mets bandwagon is coming on strong."
"I think they just have a great team this year, and they have a great manager, and I expect them to win today," said lifelong Mets fan David Hallenback, who was boarding the bus to Queens with his family.
