A SASSY mum has been hailed a “legend” after savagely TELLING OFF a bloke who sent her daughter a “vulgar” voice message on a dating app.
Amy Acea was having dinner with mum Sarah Acea at Pizza Express last month when she showed her a “degrading” message she had received from a man on Hinge days earlier.
The nameless bloke could be heard scoffing at the 22-year-old’s profile, before declaring that she has a “cracking pair of t**s” and that it was the “easiest w*nk he’s had on Hinge”.
Amy, a fashion marketer from Hertfordshire, tried to laugh off the crude comments – but her mum wasn’t willing to stay silent.
Instead, 59-year-old Sarah sent back her own brutal voice message in defence of her daughter.
She said: “I really do question your level of intelligence and your IQ if you think that comment is vaguely appropriate.
“My daughter is definitely worth more than a two minute – oh sorry, two second – w*nk.”
Amy shared the exchange on TikTok in a now-viral video, and people were quick to brand Sarah a “legend”.
She admits her mum is now her “personal dating coach” and loves having her so “involved in her lovelife”.
“The voice message was shocking,” Hitchin-based Amy tells.
“It was really degrading and demeaning.
“I’m sort of desensitised to it as I get a lot of that on Hinge, but that was one of the more vulgar ones for sure.
“He said it with full chest.”
She adds that she didn’t reply to the message for a few days because she “didn’t know how to respond” to such crass comments.
“Then I was out for dinner with my mum and I said ‘you’re not going to believe what I got, this is what I’m dealing with’,” Amy recalls.
“She was fuming, whereas I think I probably found it more funny than her.

“She was just coming up with really funny lines and good takedowns.
“I said ‘Mum, you can handle this’.

Amy admits that it’s “always a bit disheartening getting a comment like that” but finds laughing about it with her mum takes the edge off.
“Getting the amount of attention that the video did just goes to show that it resonated with a lot of people, a lot of women my age that are going through the same thing,” she adds.
However, Sarah wanted to call out the gross bloke to show her daughter that women should not accept such treatment and language against them.
The protective mum tells: “The choice of language was so derogatory and really made my heart sink.
“It was a horrible thing for my daughter to receive.
“My daughter’s a really bright, intelligent girl and she doesn’t deserve to be spoken to in that way.
“When she played it to me my jaw hit the floor.
“We were having a lovely evening, so I was a bit horrified.
“I’ve brought my girls up to be articulate and stand up for themselves, but there’s almost an acceptance amongst young women that they almost expect to get spoken to like that.”
She added that she’s sure Amy’s Hinge match’s mum would be “really appalled” to be speaking to a woman like that.
