Four Albany teens arrested on firearm, trespassing charges

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Police reported the arrest of four teens following a trespassing investigation. The youths all face felony charges.

On Thursday around 7:55 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Lark Drive near Manning Boulevard after receiving reports of a group of teens trespassing in a nearby maintenance building. Arriving officers located four boys inside, two of which were allegedly found with loaded handguns. The group was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

16-year-old and 17-year-old

  • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • First-degree criminal trespass

Haleem Fareh, 19, of Albany

  • First-degree criminal trespass

13-year-old

  • First-degree criminal trespass

The 16 and 17-year-olds were arraigned in Albany County Family Court. The 16-year-old was placed on home confinement, while the 17-year-old was remanded to the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility.

Fareh was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court before being released under the supervision of Albany County Probation. The 13-year-old was issued an appearance ticket and released to a guardian.
