Puppies rescued by Paws of War to be paired with veterans
NEW YORK (PIX11) – When Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina, the Paws of War organization was ready to help.
Members traveled to the hardest-hit areas, including a home where a dog and her four newborn puppies were struggling to survive. Today, those seven-week-old puppies are getting a second chance at life and will likely be paired with veterans.
PIX11 photojournalist Keith Lopez has the heartwarming story.
