The Blue Angels are scheduled to fly over the region this weekend as San Francisco Fleet Week nears its conclusion.
The annual tribute started Monday with a series of various military band performances and other events around San Francisco. Blue Angels flyers practiced on Thursday. On Friday, the “parade of ships” — the largest ship procession on the West Coast, according to organizers — was held on San Francisco Bay.
Air shows over the bay were scheduled from about 12:30 to 3 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Fleet Week events run through Monday. More information is at fleetweeksf.org.
