A Good Way To Help With Hurricane Relief In Raleigh
There is a convenient drop-off point we can hit.
We’ve all seen the devastating videos out of Western North Carolina as the people there struggle to recover from the devastating floods left behind by Hurricane Helene. It’s been an absolute nightmare and it’s a long way from being over. Power and water are destroyed and won’t be back for quite some time to go.
As you have also probably seen, relief efforts are underway. Supplies are pouring in, and it’s a good thing too, because, to borrow from Game Of Thrones, winter is coming. However, it’s still not enough.
Thousands who lost everything need, well...everything.
We were very pleased to see that there is a collection point in Raleigh at the Farmers Market. If anyone local has stuff they can contribute, it’s a convenient and easy place to drop off supplies. We asked what is in demand and here are some of the things they’d like to see: warm coats and clothes, can openers, gloves, feminine products, diapers, formula and non-perishable food. Basically, everything for short-term survival. We plan on making a few trips by there and if you’re local, we hope you will too. Maybe we’ll see you there!
