Hogs Drop First SEC Meet to Missouri

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks opened SEC action at home, hosting Missouri on Saturday. The Hogs dropped a well-fought meet to Missouri by a score of 125-174.

Bella Cothern picked up wins in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, posting a 22.56 finish (NCAA B Cut) in the 50 and a 49.42 finish in the 100. Freshman Holly Robinson swam a stellar 400 IM and posted a winning 4:18.02 finish. Reka Rohacs won the 500 Freestyle, posting a 4:51.26 finish. Bradi Jones put up a 1:01.05 finish, an NCAA B Cut time in the 100 Breaststroke for a second-place finish.

In the dive tank, Maria Jose Sanchez took home the hardware on 3-meter springboard, posting a score of 339.50. Isa Perreira earned a podium finish with a score of 303.85 which was good for 3rd place. Lotti Hubert and Malea Martinez dazzled on the 1-meter, finishing first and second, respectively. Hubert dove to a score of 307.75, and Martinez dove to a 291.60 score.

The Razorbacks move to 1-1 on the season. They will be back in action on Thursday, October 17th at 3:00pm in the Arkansas Natatorium as they take on Missouri State.
