JoJo Siwa Explains Viral 'Bulge' Photoshoot, Compares Image to Infamous Harry Styles Moment

JoJo Siwa opened up about a controversial photoshoot that she recently participated in.

The 21-year-old content creator posed for LADYGUNN. In some of the photos, she wore what equated to a bedazzled codpiece or cup to give her the illusion of a “bulge.” JoJo paired the piece with an equally dazzling sculptural top that was modeled after a masculine chest and six pack.

During a recent interview, JoJo broke down the look and explained how it was similar to something Harry Styles once wore.

While on the Talk Tuah podcast, JoJo admitted that the blowback to the photos was “brutal.”

“It’s really hard. People are just d-cks,” she said.

“We were just giving a little spice, a little gender-bend, a little, you can be anything you want to be,” she explained. “It just was spicing myself up a little.”

JoJo continued, comparing the look to Harry‘s 2020 Vogue cover where he wore a dress.

“Obviously, wearing a bulge is a little different than wearing a dress,” she said.

“One thing about me is I like to be for the people that are different, for the people that don’t fit in and for the people who are just unafraid to take risks,” she explained. “I feel like being that person, I have to go as far as I possibly can into the risk zone. I have to explore the risk zone to see what it’s like.”
