Autoflex - what is this sorcery?

I was at the range recently, I know the pro there quite well now, he throws me things from time to time to test. Last week he threw me a Cally Ghost Ai driver with an Autoflex shaft and wanted to know my thoughts. The thing is as whippy as a fishing rod at address. But miraculously, it stiffens up at impact.
