Ohio State-Nebraska kickoff time announced
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The Buckeyes are currently on their second bye week of the regular season but have learned when their next Big Ten game will kickoff.
No. 4 Ohio State will resume its football season on Oct. 26 when it hosts the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Ohio Stadium. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 12 p.m.
While the Buckeyes have ended the past two seasons losing two games in a row, they have not lost two consecutive regular season games since 2011 as they look to bounce back after its 32-31 loss to Oregon.
Remaining Ohio State football schedule
- Oct. 26: vs. Nebraska (noon)
- Nov. 2: at. Penn State
- Nov. 9: vs. Purdue
- Nov. 16: at. Northwestern (noon or 3:30 p.m.)
- Nov. 23: vs. Indiana
- Nov. 30: vs. Michigan (noon)
Nebraska got off to a fast start with three straight wins over UTEP, Colorado, and Northern Iowa. Led by former Buckeye quarterback commit Dylan Raiola, the Cornhuskers earned a spot in the AP poll after its 3-0 start, but quickly fell out after an overtime loss at home to Illinois. Since that loss to the Illini, they have beaten Purdue and Rutgers.
The Cornhuskers face a tough test this Saturday as they take on undefeated Indiana, the 16th-ranked team in the nation, at noon in Bloomington.
The game in Columbus will be the ninth time Ohio State plays Nebraska. After the Cornhuskers won the first meeting 34-27 in 2011, the Buckeyes have won seven straight, with their last win in 2021 in Lincoln.
Currently, Ohio State and Nebraska sit alongside Illinois as the three one-loss teams in the Big Ten. Those three sit behind the last unbeaten teams in the conference, which include Indiana, Oregon, and Penn State. The No. 2 Ducks will go for its seventh win on Friday at Purdue, while Penn State is on a bye week.
