Morning Briefing: Dodgers Stifle Mets in NLCS Opener, Toss Third Straight Shutout
Good morning, Mets fans!
Kodai Senga issued four walks and only recorded four outs, and the Mets’ offense couldn’t get anything going against Jack Flaherty as they dropped Game 1 of the NLCS, 9-0. For the Dodgers, it was their third straight shutout and they’ve now tied a playoff record held by the 1966 Orioles with 33 straight scoreless innings. After the game, Senga said he felt his mechanics were off in pregame warmups and couldn’t get righted during the game.
