What is the method to install a c14 centerboard?

What is the method to install a c14 centerboard? Got a new centerboard from Catalina Direct. Cannot fit from top, the trunk has a lip and it is too narrow for the centerboard.trying from bottom but getting boat high enough to slide in the centerboard is difficult. any ideas?
