Machete fight breaks out in front of children on packed London high street
Two masked men started a machete fight in the middle of a busy high street as children looked on.
Footage shows the pair both dressed in black fighting in the road in broad daylight forcing traffic to stop in High Street North, East Ham, on Monday.
They were both armed with huge blades and one swung at his rival before he backed off.
One of the weapons was nearly two feet long, the other about one foot.
One witness can be heard saying: ‘Don’t do it, please.’
Another added: ‘Stop.’
Thankfully, neither of them landed a blow and the video soon came to an end.
A group of members of the public, some of them kids, were seen standing near a NatWest bank as the fight ensued.
A blue Skoda Octavia stopped in front of them on the road, while a white Kia Sportage pulled out of a side road and the driver paused after spotting the armed fight.
Resident Lee Daniel said: ‘It’s not the same East Ham High Street I used to know.’
