Kingston man charged with armed robbery
KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The City of Kingston Police Department reported that an arrest has been made in a robbery investigation. Robert Henderson, 60, of Kingston, is facing several charges.
Henderson is accused of entering the Dollar General on Foxhall Avenue on October 13 and demanding money from the cashier at gunpoint, according to police. He then allegedly took the cash before fleeing the area.
On October 17 around 9 a.m., Kingston Police conducted a stop on Murray Street in which the driver, Henderson, reportedly committed numerous traffic and vehicle violations. During the stop, Henderson was identified as a suspect in the robbery, resulting in his arrest. He now faces the following charges:
- First-degree robbery
- Second-degree robbery
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Criminal possession of a firearm
