Great weekend for outdoor activities and viewing fall foliage
A broad area of high pressure from the eastern Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic will keep our weather sunny and dry through the weekend, with a gradual warming trend. The weather is ideal for facilitating the changing fall colors, which will peak across central Ohio in the coming week.
Temperatures topped out in the mid- to upper 60s. Tonight will be clear and chilly for Football Friday Nite, with readings falling quickly through the 50s into the upper 40s going home.
The last day of the Circleville Pumpkin show will feature plenty of sunshine, with a crisp morning in the 40s, and afternoon temperatures rebounding into the low 70s Saturday.
Sunday morning will dawn cool, with calm conditions and sunshine for the Columbus Marathon. Readings will climb from the mid-40s to the 60s by late morning.
As high pressure shifts east later in the weekend, temperatures will rise into the low to mid-70s. Mornings will be crisp but not cold, with lows ranging from the upper 30s to mid-40s through Tuesday.
A chance for showers will arrive ahead of a cold front on Wednesday that will sweep in much cooler air later in the week with dry conditions.
