“Black week” signals “worst fears” coming true in Finnish labour markets
THE LAST COUPLE of days have delivered a sobering stream of news about consultative negotiations and staff cuts in Finland.
Helsingin Sanomat on Tuesday reported that last week alone cast clouds of uncertainty over the future of roughly 1,100 jobs, with lay-offs and negotiations announced by the likes of Attendo, Bayer, Indoor, Kemira, Metsä Group, Ovako, UPM and Valtra.
