For the Williams Racing Team the second day of the 2024 United States GP weekend was a frustrating one with the results not coming the teams way in either the Sprint of in the later qualifying. The Sprint would see Franco lose some places finishing in 12th while for Alex Albon his Sprint was more a test session as the team tried to understand the FW46 at the COTA circuit, finishing in 17th. Qualifying would not go any better with Alex finishing 16th and Franco 17th both out in Q1. Both drivers and the team are still struggling to understand the issues that they are having and have had right from the first FP1. It will now come down to the performance from the medium and hard tyres which will be used in Sunday's race.
