Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw has urged the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to improve Bengaluru’s road conditions by adopting maintenance practices similar to those used by the Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA). Citing ELCITA’s scientific approach to road upkeep, Mazumdar-Shaw pointed to methods like proactive maintenance, AI monitoring, and efficient drainage, which have kept Electronics City pothole-free.
