Twitter Hates Gay Halloween
Halloweekend 1 (of 2 this year) has come and gone. There were more Tashis than you could shake a tennis racket at. Troye Sivans as far as the eye could see. Chappells and Chappies and Chappelles, oh my! Twitter celebrated the holiday with a joke about how hyperspecific costumes can get. “I hate gay Halloween,” one might say. “What do you mean you’re _____??” That blank was filled with all sorts of stuff. The tennis ball POV from Challengers, Isabelle Huppert’s cat with the unknowable and unsayable name, the children dressed as Serge Gainsbourg on French TV. Below are just a smattering of the best niche pop culture costumes of 2024.
