MTA expands train service for World Series games
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- On Monday, Yankees fans will descend upon Yankee Stadium to watch their home team attempt to mount a comeback after falling 0-2 to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The MTA announced extra trains on the 4 and D lines for all home games to ensure fans can get to and from Yankee Stadium.
The Metro-North will also offer extra services to Yankee Stadium via the Hudon Line, the Harlem Line, and the New Haven Line. Extra trains on the Metro-North lines will run as scheduled:
- Hudson Line
- Two extra trains from Croton-Harmon and Ossining will operate express to the stadium. Extra trains leave Croton-Harmon at 3:54 p.m. and 4:16 p.m. and arrive at Yankee Stadium at 4:38 p.m. and 4:54 p.m.
- After the game, 8 Hudson Line trains to Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie will make extra stops at the stadium to take fans home. There will be two extra Poughkeepsie express trains and two extra Croton-Harmon local trains.
- Harlem Line
- A Yankee Clipper train will depart Southeast at 4:26 p.m. and arrive at the stadium at 5:49 p.m. The train will stop at Brewster, Golden's Bridge, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, North White Plains, White Plains, Hartsdale, Scarsdale, Crestwood, and Bronxville.
- After the game, a Yankee Clipper train will depart the stadium and make all stops between Mt. Vernon West and Southeast.
- Passengers can also take regularly scheduled Harlem Line trains to Harlem-125th Street station and switch to a shuttle train for a 5-minute ride to Yankee Stadium.
- New Haven Line
- Two Yankee Clipper trains will depart New Haven at 4:07 p.m. and 4:47 p.m. and arrive at the stadium at 6:08 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The trains will stop at West Haven, Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Fairfield-Black Rock, Fairfield, Westport, South Norwalk, Darien, Noroton Heights, Stamford, Greenwich, Rye, Larchmont, and New Rochelle.
- After the game, four Yankee Clipper trains will be available. Two will operate express to Stamford and then all stops to New Haven. One will make all stops between Mt. Vernon East and New Haven. The last is a Stamford local train which will make all stops between Mt. Vernon East and Stamford.
- Passengers can take regularly scheduled New Haven Line trains to Harlem-125th Street station and switch to the shuttle train for a 5-minute ride to Yankee Stadium.
