Bharti Airtel has appointed Shashwat Sharma as the CEO, effective January 1, 2026. Current MD and CEO, Gopal Vittal, will transition to Vice Chairman, guiding Sharma in his new role. Vittal will also take on broader telecom responsibilities and join the board of Airtel Africa.
